Five Below coming to Farmingville shopping center

Discount retailer Five Below will be opening a store in Farmingville. 

The Philadelphia-based chain leased 10,000 square feet in the Expressway Plaza Shopping Center at 2280-2350 North Ocean Ave. 

The Farmingville space was carved out of the former Kmart store space at the shopping center. Burlington recently opened a 33,000-square-foot store that had also been part of the Farmingville Kmart space. 

The new Five Below will be the chain’s 14th on Long Island. The retailer will be joining Expressway Plaza’s tenant roster which includes Stop & Shop, LA Fitness, Starbucks, City MD, Burger King, TGI Fridays, GNC and others. 

Publicly traded Five Below has more than 1,100 stores in 40 states. The company reported revenue of $2.848 billion in the fiscal year that ended Jan. 29, 2022.
