The FTSE 100 is currently on track for its best month in just over a year.
The blue-chip index has gained 4.8% this month, as stocks recovered from their slump in late November when Omicron fears first rocked markets.
That would be its best since November 2020, when news of Pfizer’s successful vaccine prompted a global rally.
