Houston Astros’ Parker Mushinski to pitch second rehab game for the Sugar Land Space Cowboys

OAKLAND, Calif. — Astros reliever Parker Mushinski, one of three injured left-handed pitchers on Houston’s 40-man roster, is set to pitch a second rehab game for Class AAA Sugar Land on Saturday night. 

Mushinski, on the injured list since June 7 with left elbow discomfort, tossed 20 pitches and yielded two hits, two runs and two walks in his first rehab appearance for Sugar Land on Wednesday. 

The Astros are a man short in the bullpen because they are deploying a six-man starting rotation, and additionally have no left-handed relievers with Mushinski and Blake Taylor both injured.
