The dollar price in Chile it was trading lower on Tuesday due to the appreciation of the peso, amid a tension between Russia and Ukraine that returned investors’ appetite for risky assets.
The exchange rate is quoted at 802.40/802.70 Chilean pesos per dollara decline of 1.13%, according to data from the Reuters agency.

Meanwhile, the leading index of the Santiago Stock Exchange, the IPSA, gained 1.09%, to 4,655.02 points.
“The markets are very volatile and fragile, therefore any change in the external situation affects them significantly and, just as they are now favored by greater calm at a global level, this may change drastically in the following day”, referred a foreign currency trader.
