A local Rockhampton business is celebrating its recent win at the Master Electricians Industry Excellence Awards, where it took out the national title for Energy Efficiency Project of the Year.
Climatecare Electrical and Solar owners Andrew White and Sue Brazier White did not expect to take out the top prize and were elated with their win.
The project involved installing 100kW of solar power at Heron Island Resort.
The company had to be innovative to ensure its solar could inject harmoniously into the diesel microgrid and be controlled in such a way that the diesel would not be damaged.
“The project was not an off-the-shelf solution,” Mr White said.
